Four bronze Barbary lions are placed at the base of Nelson’s Column. These lions were added in 1867, more than 20 years after the construction of Nelson’s Column got competed. The lion sculptures were designed by Sir Edwin Landseer and have contributed immensely in attracting daily visitors to the monument
